Nude Art Art | by Marlene Dickerson
Nude Art Form
The Nude Art form has long been a preoccupation in art from ancient Greek art through the Rennaisance to Western Art. The nude often represents an idealised depiction of the human form or complex human emotions in their most basic and expressive form.
Every artist undresses his subject, whether human or still life. It is his business to find essences in surfaces, and what more attractive and challenging surface than the skin around a soul?

The thesis titled The Naked vs. The Nude by Martina Boysen [2016] provides a more in depth study of the nude as an Art Form.
