Affectionately known as ‘Granny Claude’ and later as ‘Gran’, Claude van Altena (nee Brown) was a colorful character and was dearly loved by all the family. She was by no means perfect and was uniquely different but was truly a wonderful Granny.

Everyone who met her has a story that will bring a smile to even the most glum character.

In memories held close and dear,
Her voice will echo, strong and clear.
For those who knew her, blessed they’ll be—
Gran’s spirit lives eternally.
